Along with the musical notes of our National Anthem, Cadeca Headquarter Annual Meeting began. Following, the young singer Annie Garcés delighted the audience with the song Cabalgando con Fidel and then the meeting started under the conduction of Thalía González
Francisco Mayobre Lence, First Vicepresident of the Central Bank of Cuba, chaired the meeting, accompanied by Bárbara Águila Reyes, member of the Economic Department of The Central Commitee, Claritza Reyes Cardentey, member of the Public Administration National Union, Joaquín Alonso Vázquez, President of Cadeca Group, Alejandro Velasco González, Vicepresident and Dannié Ballester Carbonell General Director.
Afterwards the General Director read the annual report corresponding to the year 2019.
During the activity the entity was briefly characterized, reflecting its technological and organizational infrastructure, as well as its human capital. The behavior of the working
objectives were analyzed in correspondence with the measures criteria, the quality of the banking services and their diversification in order to expand the services portfolio.
Another topic mentioned was the strengthening to the implementation of the strategies with the purpose of preventing and fighting against misbehaviors, alleged criminal intents and corruption demonstrations, making emphasis on the prevention, detection, confrontation and the recovering of the institution damage.
It was also analyzed the increase of the automation levels of the computing system of the key processes and the strengthening of the technological infrastructure, based on the approved automation strategy. It was added to the 2019 investment plan and the projection for 2020.
There were also detailed analyses about the activity of the directive reserve personnel in the institution, their preparation, evaluation and reserve, as well as the activity of the Human Resources area, the staff behavior, training program, discipline, etc. Other areas were also mentioned showing their work. For example: Risk and Compliance, Legal Activity, Systems Direction, Defense, Protection and Security and Management Activity.
It was requested about the main results of 2019 and the work to do yet, presenting the plans and detailed work objectives for the current period.
Our Provincial directors are aware of the new conditions and striking environments of today’s world and know their challenges for this year 2020. Yet there is still work to continue improving the services offered by Cadeca, renovating and improving the conditions of our offices, increasing the quality of the services and the client’s satisfaction, being these most important premises to work.
